So nice to meet you! I’m Kelly, an IACP-nominated food writer, editor, and former line cook with nearly a decade of industry experience. I am currently the Recipe Editor at The TODAY Show where I oversee digital recipe development and commerce-driven food franchises. Previously, I was an editor and writer at Food52 and Martha Stewart Living. My writing has appeared across digital and print publications including Allrecipes, Bon Appétit, CT Insider, Epicurious, Food & Wine, Forbes Vetted, Kitchn, Real Simple, and more.
My 2018 Hartford Magazine cover story “Hot Stuff: Your Guide to Everything Smoky, Saucy, and Sloppy” was awarded 2nd place in the Leisure category of the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists’ Excellence in Journalism contest.
Beyond writing, I have served as an on-air food host during my tenure at Martha Stewart Living and was a recurring cook on NBC Connecticut’s lifestyle show CT Live and WFSB’s daytime talk show Better Connecticut. I gained hands-on culinary experience while working as line cook at À’vert Brasserie in West Hartford, Connecticut, where I ate dozens (possibly hundreds) of macarons and endless handfuls of pommes frites.
I studied American Studies and English at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut (go bantams!). I currently live in Fairfield County, Connecticut with my husband, Evan.
